Bears avoid going winless in preseason

As the Cubs were rallying in the eight inning against the Phillies, the Bears were also rallying to overcome a 10-0 deficit against the Cleveland Browns, picking up their first and only win of the 2008 preseason with a score of 16-10. Kyle Orton played in two series going 4 for 7 for 51 yards. He also threw one interception. Rex Grossman was 5 for 7 throwing for 59 yards including a 19 yard touchdown pass to Brandon Rideau. After somewhat of a shaky preseason Robbie Gould looks to have finally settle in kicking field goals from 48, 26, and 49 yards respectively. With the close of the preseason the roster of 75 will be cut down to 53 on Saturday, and the Bears will open up their regular season next Saturday night against Indianapolis in Indy’s new stadium.
